1.316l stainless steel tubes have a maximum carbon content of 0.03 and can be used in applications where maximum corrosion resistance is required and cannot be annealed after welding.

Due to the addition of molybdenum, 316L stainless steel pipe has excellent corrosion resistance, especially pitting resistance; High temperature strength is also very good; Excellent working hardenability (weak magnetism after processing); The solid solution is non-magnetic.

316L stainless steel grade: 00Cr17Ni14Mo2

2. Corrosion resistance

3.316 and 317 stainless steel tubes (see properties of 317 stainless steel below) are molybdenum-containing stainless steel.

4.316 Stainless steel pipes also have good resistance to chloride corrosion, so they are commonly used in Marine environments.

5.317 stainless steel pipe molybdenum content is slightly higher than 316 stainless steel pipe. Due to the molybdenum contained in the steel, the overall performance of the steel is better than 310 and 304 stainless steel. Under high temperature conditions, when the sulfuric acid concentration is lower than 15% and higher than 85%, 316 stainless steel has a wide range of applications.

316 stainless steel pipe has good oxidation resistance in intermittent use below 1600 degrees and continuous use below 1700 degrees.

9. In the range of 800-1575 degrees, it is best not to use 316 stainless steel continuously, but when used continuously outside the temperature range, stainless steel has good heat resistance.

10. Welding

11.316 Stainless steel cannot be hardened by overheating.

12. Typical pulping and paper making equipment, heat exchangers, dyeing equipment, film developing equipment, pipelines and external building materials in coastal areas

13. Annealing from 1850 to 2050, then rapid annealing, then rapid cooling.

14. All standard welding methods can be used for welding. Depending on the application, 316Cb, 316L or 309Cb stainless steel filler rods or welding rods can be used for welding. In order to obtain the best corrosion resistance, the welded parts of 316 stainless steel need to be annealed after welding. If 316L stainless steel is used, post-welding annealing is not required.
